Micronized wax for engineering plastic
Micronized wax primarily functions as a processing aid and modifier in engineering plastics, with its core properties as follows:
Internal lubrication: Wax molecules disperse within the plastic melt, reducing friction between polymer chains and thereby lowering melt viscosity.
External lubrication: Wax molecules migrate to the interface between the melt and processing equipment (such as moulds and screws), forming a lubricating film.
Improved demoulding properties facilitate easier removal of products from moulds, reducing scrap rates.
Enhanced surface finish yields smoother, more lustrous products.
When incorporated into engineering plastics, micronized wax forms a micro-lubricating layer on the product surface, lowering the surface friction coefficient.
