Before the 1950s, water tank inside painton ships worldwide were protected by cement slurry. Tank walls often rust and pollute drinking water in less than half a year. Thus, it can be seen that the drinking water tank paintis really crucial to the guarantee of the quality of the water. Now the commonly used paints for inside water tanks are pure epoxy coatings and solvent-free epoxy coatings. There are rubber paint for water tanks,anti fungal paint for water tanks,epoxy paint for water tanks, etc.. Urushiol coatings are not used much due to the relatively thin film formation of a single layer. Water tank inside paint must be approved by the health department to be harmless to health before it can be used. Anyhow, there must be food grade paint for water tanksto ensure the quality of our drinking water.
In order to meet the corresponding specifications, solvent-free epoxy coatings for water tanks are currently widely used. Solvent-based epoxy coatings will release a certain peculiar smell during use. Solvent-free epoxy can be used for thick film construction, and the film formation can reach 200-500μm in one film. In the drinking water tank, two coats are recommended, with a total dry film thickness of 300-400μm.

The formed coating film obtains the advantages of smooth surface, low roughness, small friction coefficient, low water absorption, low microbial adsorption, and good adhesion between the coating and the substrate. Solvent-free epoxy paint for water tanks do not contain organic solvents. This kind of drinking water tank paint is safe, harmless to the human body, and have no environmental pollution. It avoids the problem of solvent-based coatings polluting the environment and wasting a lot of organic solvents during application and dring. In addition, the solvent-free coating does not volatilize the solvent during the curing process, the paint film is dense, and the dielectric property is improved. The solvent-free epoxy coatfor water tanks is corrosion-resistant, and the film is thicker at one time application, which improves the construction efficiency, and reduces the construction time and cost. Solvent-free epoxy drinking water tank coating is with good abrasion resistance, bending resistance, impact resistance, medium corrosion resistance and good salt spray resistance. The hygienic indicators of our product meet the requirements of GB/5749-2006 and the corresponding international standards, and have obtained the hygienic license for drinking water sanitation and safety products issued by the Health Bureau.
