Ladle Tundish High Performance Slide Plates Fired Slide Plates Unburned Slide Plates

Traditionally slide plates have been Al-Zr2O3-C based. Although these types of slide plates feature good thermal shock resistance and high strength, they have the disadvantage of easy carbon oxidation when casting special steel. This can result in loose aggregate, lower strength, and a coarse slide plate surface.
The SG series of slide plates specialize in:
1. Low carbon – resulting in low coarseness on the surface of slide plate. These slide plates are suitable for low carbon and ultra-low carbon steel.
2. High temperature strength – resulting in low erosion of the bore.
3. Better thermal shock resistance – resulting in less cracking.
4. No oil impregnation – resulting in better working condition and good for
the environment
The SG series of high temperature fired slide plates have the characteristics of high strength, good erosion resistance, and excellent thermal shock resistance. The products are the best choice for large and medium sized ladles as well as continuous casting tundishes. The SG series of high temperature fired slide include Al2O3-C based, Al2O3-ZrO2-C based and MgO-spinel based. These options can meet the various needs of different steel grades.
For further reduction of steel making cost in medium and small scaled steel plants, We developed SG-BH series of fine-quality unfired compounded slide plates, yielding optimum performances on medium and small sized ladles.
In order to meet the need of reducing the cost of making steel in small and medium continuous casting steel shops and die casting steel shops, We developed the SG-BH series of high quality unburned composite slide plates. The main component of these slide plates is alumina carbon.
