Geothermal power generation takes advantage of underground hot water and steam as a power source of a new type power generation technology. The basic principle is similar with the one of thermal power, according to the energy conversion principle, firstly it converts geothermal energy into mechanical energy, then converts mechanical energy into electrical energy. Geothermal power generation is actually the conversion from underground heat energy into mechanical energy, and then into power energy process.
