The Petroleum Products Kinematic Viscosity Tester is a specialized instrument used to measure the kinematic viscosity of liquid petroleum products (Newtonian fluids). You determine viscosity by allowing the liquid to flow through calibrated glass capillaries at a constant temperature, measuring the flow time, and applying the capillary constant to calculate kinematic viscosity. You can also derive dynamic viscosity by combining with the liquid density.
