Test Principle
The Ring-on-Block tester drives the friction ring to rotate against a fixed test block under a set load, forming stable sliding friction. During testing, sensors continuously collect friction force signals to calculate the friction coefficient. Based on load, time, and friction conditions, material wear behavior is evaluated. Comparative testing under identical conditions allows objective assessment of material or coating wear resistance.
Operation Instructions
Ensure the friction ring and test block surfaces are clean and firmly installed.
Select either weight loading or automatic loading according to the standard.
Set test spindle speed, load, and test duration.
Do not touch rotating parts during testing; ensure safety protections are in place.
If abnormal friction force or vibration occurs, stop the machine immediately for inspection.
Save test data and clean the friction pair after the experiment.
Experimental Flow
Prepare test specimens and measure initial dimensions according to relevant standards.
Install friction ring and test block, set load and spindle speed.
