The Heat Extension Tester is designed to measure the elongation and deformation of electrical wire and cable insulation and sheaths under combined heat and load conditions. It evaluates the thermal elongation performance of wire and cable insulation and jackets, ensuring compliance with industry standards and production requirements.
Application
(1) Insulated power cables – assess thermal elongation of 1 kV to 35 kV extruded insulation cables.
(2) Overhead insulated cables – verify performance under thermal and mechanical stress.
(3) R&D laboratories – test new insulation and sheath materials for thermal stability.
(4) Quality control in cable manufacturing – ensure compliance with production standards.
(5) Electrical certification and factory inspections – required for production license renewal.
