What is single stage centrifugal pump?

WORKING OF SINGLE STAGE CENTRIFUGAL PUMP
China single stage centrifugal pumps can send water out due to centrifugal force. Before the pump works, the pump body and the water inlet pipe must be filled with water to form a vacuum state. When the impeller rotates rapidly, the blades rotate the water, and the rotating water flies out of the impeller under the action of centrifugal force. After the water in the pump is thrown out, the central part of the impeller forms a vacuum area. Under the action of rapid atmospheric pressure (or water pressure), water from the source is forced through the pipe network into the intake pipe. In this way, continuous pumping can be achieved.
DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SINGLE STAGE AND MULTISTAGE CENTRIFUGAL PUMPS
lThe single stage and multi stage centrifugal pumpdifference is the number of stages they have (also known as impellers). As the name suggests, a single entry centrifugal pumphas one impeller only, but a multi-stage pump at least has two impellers.
lThe impeller of a centrifugal pump is used for pressurizing and conveying liquid. Because multistage pumps have multiple impellers, their pressure range and flow rate are much superior.
lIn a multistage centrifugal pump, the function of each impeller is similar to that of a single-stage pump in the pump chain. The advantage of a multi-stage centrifugal pump comes from this chain design.
lWhen the liquid is pushed from one impeller to the next, its pressure will increase while the flow rate remains unchanged.
lBy relying on multiple impellers to distribute the pressure of the pump to build the load, the multi-stage centrifugal pump can use a smaller motor to produce greater power and higher pressure, thus using less energy.
