Compared with steel wire disc brush, its grinding ability is weak, but it is stronger than abrasive wire end brush. It has the characteristics of high efficiency and durability. There are three fabrics of wire brushes for home improvement, including carbon steel, stainless steel, and brass. Brass has a variety of applications, which can be used on most projects.

Because of high abrasion of brass, it can be used to cleaning heavily contaminated equipment without damaging the surface. With corrosion resistance and non-sparking, it is suitable for light to medium cleaning of easily scratched surfaces.

Stainless steel is corrosion resistant, heat resistant, chemical resistant, excellent bending recovery, and has high abrasion resistance for more intense cleaning, such as, serrated, box locks, etc.

In the industrial polishing brush, nylon, stainless steel, wire and other materials are more common, but brass relative to most customers may have less contact. In fact, brass is an alloy made of copper and zinc, which was initially used for casting money during the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty because of its strong wear resistance.
