Mask respiratory resistance tester

The Mask Respiratory Resistance Tester is designed to measure the inhalation and exhalation resistance of respirators and masks under controlled conditions. The instrument simulates real human breathing through a 3D-printed standard head mold and accurately measures flow resistance at specified airflow rates. It provides precise evaluation of mask performance, including ordinary masks, dust masks, medical masks, and anti-fog respirators, and is suitable for both manufacturers and national inspection agencies.

Application

The Mask Respiratory Resistance Tester is applicable to respiratory resistance evaluation across the following industries and products:

(1) Medical and Healthcare Industry: surgical masks, medical face masks, N95/FFP masks, disposable masks — testing inhalation and exhalation resistance

(2) Personal Protective Equipment Industry: dust masks, anti-fog masks, respirators — evaluation of airflow resistance and wearer comfort

Test Procedures

(1) Connect the mask to the inhalation/exhalation pipelines of the standard head mold

(2) Set the airflow rate according to the required test protocol

(3) Start the instrument and begin automatic measurement

(4) Record inhalation and exhalation resistance values

(5) Repeat tests for multiple specimens or different flow conditions

(6) Use the built-in printer or data logger to save results

(7) Clean the head mold, tubing, and sensors after testing

Maintenance Information

(1) Do not carry the instrument by the bottom of the control box to avoid damage

(2) Wipe electroplated parts with oil to prevent rust

(3) After testing, clean the instrument and lubricate moving parts to maintain sensitivity

(4) Wipe control panels and display screens with a dry cloth to protect electronics

(5) Store all fixtures and joint accessories properly, applying anti-rust oil if necessary
