Machine-processable titanium carbide hard alloy rods

The hard alloy titanium carbide round rods have excellent electrical conductivity and can be used to make electrical discharge machining electrodes. In the electrical discharge forming of precision molds, they can ensure low electrode wear and high processing accuracy. Their excellent fatigue resistance property makes them less prone to cracks under repeated impact loads, and they are suitable for making tool components with high-frequency vibration. In the nuclear energy field, due to their outstanding radiation resistance, they are often used as processing tools for internal parts of nuclear reactors. With the development of 3D printing technology, hard alloy titanium carbide round rods have also been made into powder for 3D printing of precision parts. The density of the printed parts can reach 99.5% of the theoretical density, and their performance is comparable to that of traditional sintered parts. It is used in the photovoltaic industry as a silicon wafer cutting tool, which can ensure that the thickness error of the silicon wafer is controlled within ±1 μm, and improve the conversion efficiency of solar cells. This versatility makes it an indispensable material in the high-end manufacturing field.
