Chromium carbide powder that meets the production requirements of special processes
Chromium carbide powder is often irregular grayish-black particles with a particle size of 10-40μm, a purity of ≥98%, and a free carbon content of ≤0.5%. It features high hardness and excellent wear resistance, with a bulk density of 2.9-3.2g/cm³, and is suitable for thermal spraying and surfacing processes. It is widely used for surface strengthening of easily worn parts such as mine crusher liners and metallurgical roller tracks, effectively resisting material erosion and extending the service life of equipment. This powder has good chemical stability. At room temperature, it does not react with water or dilute acids, but dissolves slowly in concentrated nitric acid and hydrofluoric acid. It is suitable for making corrosion-resistant components. After being mixed with nickel-based alloy powder, the formed spray welding layer is both wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant. It is widely used in the stirring shafts of chemical equipment, the inner walls of reaction vessels and other parts, and can withstand the long-term erosion of acid and alkali solutions. The powder has good fluidity, with a bulk density of 2.8-3.2g/cm³, which is convenient for continuous powder supply by automated spraying equipment and ensures uniform coating thickness.
