7075 is one of one of the strongest of the aluminum alloys. Its use parallels that of 2024, with 7075 selected when higher mechanical properties are desired.
7075-With one of the highest strength to weight ratios for heat treatable alloys, it's a lightweight material with a semi-smooth surface and a dull mill finish. Commonly machined to end user specifications, typical applications include aircrafts, marine, motorsports, and commercial grade parts.
