Neck flange is a steel pipe flange with neck welding. It is a flange that connects steel pipe, pipe fittings and so on through fillet weld to equipment or pipe.
Neck flange diameter range: DN10~DN600.

Neck flange is a flange that connects steel pipe, fittings, etc into flanges through fillet welds to equipment or pipes, just like plate flanges.
Sealing form
The sealing surfaces of the flange with neck are:Protruded (RF), concave (FM), convex (M), tenon (T), groove (G), full plane (FF).
Advantages: neck flange is also a flange, because of a short neck, thus improving the strength of the flange and the strength of the flange. So it can be used in higher pressure pipes.
Disadvantages: higher cost than plate flange, because of its shape characteristics easier to bump in transit.
The difference between flange with neck butt welding and flange with neck
1. The weld form is different: the weld form between the flange and the pipe is fillet weld, but the weld form between the flange and the pipe with neck butt welding is the circumferential weld;
2. the material is different: the material of the flange with neck is machined by the ordinary steel plate which meets the requirement of thickness, while the material of the flange with the butt welding with the neck is mostly machined by forging steel;
3. nominal pressure is different: nominal pressure of flange with neck is 0.6-4.0MPa, and nominal pressure of flange with neck butt welding is 1--25MPa grade.
