Stainless Steel Plates
Stainless steel is one of the most widely used and versatile type of steel. Stainless steel is often referred to as 'corrosion-resistant steel' - it does not stain, corrode or rust as easily as normal carbon steel. There are more than 60 grades of stainless steel and divided into five families.
Stainless steel plateis used to manufacture products in a variety of industries where extreme conditions may exist such as marine, oil & gas, chemical processing, power generation, food processing, wastewater and other applications.Asiamet is a stockist, supplier and exporter of high quality stainless steel plates as per ASTM A240 in various sizes and grades such as 304/304L, 316/316L, 321/321H, 347/347H & Duplex 2205.
Due to its anti-corrosive properties, stainless steel plates have become essential in the composition of parts for the medical, tooling, mechanical and food industries. 316 stainless steel plates are part of the austenitic family of stainless steel and is the most widely used varieties of stainless plate. 316 grades contain a higher level of Nickel than 304 giving it an improved corrosion resistance over 304 grades.
