Silicone Textile Softener

SiSiB hydrophilic silicone softenersinclude polyether-modified silicone oil, hydrophilic polyether-modified amino silicone oil and linear polyether-modified amino block silicone oil.

Silicone softener for textilesprovide good softness and smoothness and are widely used in the finishing of various textiles. Polysiloxanes with polyoxyethylene (EO), polyoxypropylene (PO) or polyoxyethylene polyoxypropylene (EOPO) ether groups connected to the molecular end or in the main chain block are used for the post-finishing of fabrics.

Silicone softeners can provide fabrics with good softness, hygroscopic, antistatic, and easy to clean. They are widely used in the finishing of chemical fiber fabrics and blended fabrics. SiSiB hydrophilic silicone softeners for textiles mainly include polyether-modified silicone oil, hydrophilic polyether-modified amino silicone oil and linear polyether-modified amino block silicone oil.

Traditional amino silicone oils have the disadvantages of poor emulsion stability, yellowing after treatment, and poor moisture absorption and perspiration performance, and have been gradually replaced by various types of block polyether modified amino silicone oils. Due to the introduction of hydrophilic polyether chain segment, the stability of the emulsion is well improved. Moreover, the structure of the polyether chain segment embedded in the main chain will not affect the film-forming properties of the polysiloxane on the fabric fiber, which easily endows the silicone fabric with soft, smooth and fluffy properties.

Polyether modified silicone oil is characterized by good hydrophilicity, general hand feeling, and poor washing resistance.

The hydrophilic block polyether modified amino silicone oil by SiSiB, a reliable silicone oil manufacturer, includes both amino group and hydrophilic polyether chain segments, which can not only maintain the hand feel of traditional amino silicone oil, but also improve the hydrophilicity of the fabric, and solve the problem that the traditional amino silicone oil cannot be repaired after dyeing, poor wearing comfort and difficult to clean.
