Lacquered Drum Plug
Lacquered drum plug is G2 and G3/4 drum plug with lacquered resins for better resistance to the drum filers, such as food contact, solvent corrosion and high temperature. XEAL® lacquered closures enable its application to wider industries.
The fine-controlled lacquer layer on drum plug does not easily fall off during screwing into drum flange. Such good adhesion is achieved by many factors such as base pre-treatment, spraying equipment, oven control and final treatment.
Details of Lacquered steel drum plugs
There are mainly three types of lacquer resin applied either to the inner side of steel drum or on outer outside of drum closure. Phenolics, epoxy phenolics and PVF, while there is also top side lacquered on drum plug for extreme environmental conditions.
There are golden brown, green and golden yellow etc lacquered, those are from selections of PPG2088, DuPont R78433, Axalta, RDL, Resco lacquer or their substitutes.
