EoptolinkQSFP+(QuadSmallForm-factorPluggablePlus)isanewMulti-SourceAgreement(MSA)forhighspeedapplication,suchas40G-BASE,whichprovidefourchannelsofdatainonepluggableinterface.Eachchanneliscapableoftransferringdataat10Gbpsandsupportsatotalof40Gbps.
The40GbpsQSFP+transceiveriswellsuitedforInfinibandand40GBASE-SR4/40GBASE-LR4applications.ItcombinesthehigherdensityattractionsofparallelmoduleswithsomeofthekeyadvantagesnormallyassociatedwithSFP+basedmodules.Itisintendedforuseshortreachapplicationsinswitches,routersanddatacenterequipmentwhereitprovideshigherdensityandlowercostwhencomparedwithstandardSFP+modules.
