PLASTIC BOTTLE

Medicinal plastic bottles are blow-molded plastic bottles used to package medicines, liquid medicines, solvents, chemical reagents in plastic containers.

 

 

 

Pharmaceutical plastic bottles are generally made of PE, PP, PET and other materials. They are not easy to break, have good sealing performance, moisture-proof, hygienic, and meet the special requirements of pharmaceutical packaging. They can be directly used in pharmaceutical packaging without cleaning and drying. They are excellent packaging containers for medicines and are widely used in oral solid drugs (such as tablets, glue). The packaging of capsules, granules, etc. and oral liquid drugs (such as syrups, tinctures, etc.) has many special features compared with other plastic hollow packaging containers.

 

 

 

Plastic bottles are easy to carry, not afraid of falling, acid and alkali resistance, easy to produce, and also conducive to recycling.

 

 

 

The development of the pharmaceutical industry has also led to the innovation of the pharmaceutical packaging industry. Glass bottles have been used for a long time before. With the use of glass bottles, shortcomings such as fragility and unstable drug compatibility will be found. Therefore, the emergence of medical plastic bottles gradually replaced glass bottles.

 

 

 

Plastic bottles are made of less dense materials and are smaller than glass bottles according to the mass of containers of the same volume. Plastics can reduce the cost of raw materials and make it easier, so the total price is relatively cheap. Composite materials, good chemical stability and protective performance, its bottom, lid and body use a reliable sealing structure, therefore, the internal liquid can be reliably protected.

Plastic bottle has developed rapidly in the competition with other packaging materials (glass, PP, PE, PVC, etc.) because of its superior performance, low cost and adaptability to environmental protection. Plastic bottle with proper rigidity, high strength, beautiful appearance, flexible design and good transparency is the most suitable plastic bottle to replace glass bottle. Plastic bottle has many specifications, such as 0.5oz, 1oz, 8oz and more. However, the inherent defects of plastic material make the application of plastic bottle limited and developed. For example, the glass transition temperature of pet is low, and shrinkage and cracking occur during hot filling; The gas resistance to oxygen and carbon dioxide is not good; Polar solvents are easy to be corroded.

 

 

 

PRODUCTION PROCESS OF PLASTIC BOTTLE

There are two kinds of production processes commonly used for plastic bottles: the first is extrusion and blowing process, that is, the plastic raw materials are added to the extruder, the molten blank is extruded by heating, melting and plasticizing, and then it is put into the bottle mold for blow molding, after cooling and finalizing, it is taken out of the mold, and the waste edge is removed to get the finished product. This process is mainly used to produce polyethylene and PVC plastic bottles, such as milk bottles and soy sauce bottles. The second is the injection drawing and blowing process, that is, the plastic raw materials are injected into the injection molding machine to form tubular blanks, and then put into the bottle mold to stretch and blow molding, and then the finished products are obtained after cooling. This process is mainly used to produce PET plastic bottles, such as mineral water bottles.
