Spiral Vibration Damper
reduces Vibration (the high frequency, low amplitude vibration caused by horizontal wind passing across the line. It is designed to be used on OPGW and conductors with an outside diameter less than 0.75".
Spiral Vibration Damper
Spiral vibration dampers are motion-control products designed to eliminate wind vibration that can occur across a cable span. Made of weather and corrosion resistant plastic, these transmission line vibration dampers have large spiral shaped vibration dampening sections that fit the size of the cable. A smaller clamping section gently grips the conductor. Using the recommended number of spiral dampers minimizes bending strain and protects the cable from long-term fatigue caused by breeze vibration.
