Key Advantages
Strong Q235 Carbon Steel Structure: The tank panels are made from Q235 carbon steel, offering good mechanical strength and structural stability for water storage applications. With tensile strength >=350 MPa and yield strength >=220 MPa, the tank is suitable for medium and large water storage projects requiring stable load-bearing performance.
Hot Dip Galvanized Corrosion Protection: The surface is treated with hot dip galvanizing, forming a zinc coating of 60-90um. This protective layer helps reduce corrosion risk when the tank is used in outdoor, industrial or humid environments. Hot dip galvanized steel panels are commonly selected for projects that require a balance between durability, cost control and structural strength.
Modular Sectional Design: The sectional panel structure makes the tank easier to transport and install. Panels can be packed compactly for shipment and assembled on site using bolts and sealing components. This is useful for projects where large welded tanks are difficult to transport or where site access is limited.
Flexible Capacity from 1 m3 to 1000 m3: The tank can be designed according to different water storage volumes, from small building water tanks to large industrial or municipal water storage systems. The modular design allows flexible adjustment of length, width and height.
Suitable for Indoor and Outdoor Installation: Hot dip galvanized sectional water tanks can be used in indoor equipment rooms, rooftop areas, outdoor foundations, industrial plants, construction sites and agricultural fields. Optional painting or additional protective coating can be applied when the project environment requires extra surface protection.
Structure
Panel Thickness Selection
Panel thickness affects tank strength, water pressure resistance and overall service performance. The available panel thickness range is 1.5mm to 5.0mm. In general, larger tanks and higher tank structures require thicker panels, especially at the lower sections where water pressure is higher.
When selecting panel thickness, the following factors should be considered:
Tank Capacity: Larger capacity requires stronger structural support.
Tank Height: Higher tanks generate greater water pressure.
Installation Location: Outdoor or exposed sites may require stronger protection.
Foundation Condition: A stable foundation supports tank safety and service life.
Usage Environment: Industrial or humid environments may require extra protection.
Accessories Layout: Openings and connections should match system design.
Surface Treatment and Coating
Hot dip galvanizing is the standard surface treatment for this sectional water tank. The zinc coating thickness is 60-90um, helping protect the Q235 carbon steel panel from direct exposure to air and moisture. For special project environments, optional painting or additional coating can be added. This may be useful for coastal areas, chemical plant surroundings, outdoor exposed areas or projects requiring a specific appearance.
Flat Roof Panel with Horizontal Lacing Bar Design
The flat roof panel design prevents water accumulation on top, eliminating leakage risks and improving durability.
Lacing bar is horizontal, which is normal type and popularly used.
Roof Panel is Flat, will not store water on the top and leak into tank.
Drawing & Design
Before order, free water tank drawing is available and can help to understand water tank well.
After order, full set of water tank drawing will be provided to support installation work.

Working Principle
This hot dip galvanized sectional water tank is constructed by bolting pressed steel panels together with sealing materials to form a strong and leak-proof water storage structure. Each panel is connected on site according to the tank design, allowing the tank size and capacity to be customized based on project requirements.
The internal horizontal lacing bar system helps improve overall tank stability and distribute water pressure more evenly across the tank structure. This design reduces deformation risk when the tank is filled with water and supports reliable long-term operation.
The flat roof panel design prevents water accumulation on the top of the tank. By reducing standing water on the roof surface, the structure helps lower leakage risks, improve corrosion resistance and extend the service life of the galvanized sectional water tank.
This bolted sectional structure makes the tank easier to transport, install, inspect and maintain compared with large welded tanks, especially for industrial, commercial, municipal and fire water storage projects.
