Overview of CS Powder

The defining component of tear gas (commonly referred to as CS gas) is used as an anti-riot agent. Exposure may cause eye burns and tears, make the product application object unable to open the eyes, and cause burning and irritation of the mucous membranes of the subject’s organs, such as the nose, mouth and throat, resulting in a large amount of coughing and nasal mucus excretion. As a result, the somatosensory direction and dyspnea are lost, and the behavior of some subjects is lost. CS gas is a volatile solvent for aerosols (a substance that dissolves other active substances and easily evaporates), while 2-chromobnzal mononitrile is a solid compound at room temperature. CS gas is generally considered non-lethal.

Skin contact with CS may cause chemical burns or induce allergic contact dermatitis. Ocular trauma involving corneal scars can cause permanent vision loss. When people shoot at close range or are frequently exposed to frequent or high levels of contact, they increase the risk of respiratory diseases.
