MARK-II Slip Resistance Tester
Product Introduction:
Paste the cut sample on the test fixture of the portable MARK-II anti-slip testing machine, put down the weight of the rotating support frame on the test fixture, so that the test piece is pressed on the floor interface by a fixed force, and tilt the rotating support frame of the portable MARK-II anti-slip testing machine, so that the horizontal thrust subjected to the test piece is gradually increased. Until the test piece slides instantaneously. The value of friction coefficient that should be dealt with before the sole test piece slides instantaneously is the large static friction coefficient of the test sole on the floor interface, that is, the anti-slip coefficient.
Reference standard:
ASTM F1677 and other standards
Product Advantages:
Measures Key Safety Property: Quantifies the static coefficient of friction, a critical indicator of pedestrian slip resistance.
Standard Compliant: Designed to meet standards like ASTM F1677. ensuring tests are conducted according to recognized procedures.
Portable Design: Allows for convenient in-situ testing on actual flooring surfaces in various environments.
Provides Quantitative Result: Delivers a numerical value for the anti-slip coefficient.
Relatively Simple Operation: The test principle of applying load and increasing horizontal force until slip is straightforward.
Suitable for Floors and Sole Materials: Can be used to evaluate both flooring surface characteristics and the slip properties of footwear sole materials.
Product Features:
Based on the provided description and typical portable static friction testers:
Test fixture or shoe to hold the test sample.
Weight system to apply a fixed normal load (10 lbs).
Rotating or tilting support frame mechanism to apply and gradually increase horizontal thrust to the test sample.
Sensor or gauge to measure the horizontal force at the point when the sample begins to slide.
Mechanism to calculate the static coefficient of friction from the measured forces.
Designed to be portable for easy transport and use in different locations.
Accommodation for specific sample dimensions (76mm x 76mm).
Requires a stable, horizontal surface for accurate testing.
Technical specifications:
1. Sample size: (76±1)*(76±1)mm.
2. Load: 10IBS.
3. Floor requirements: horizontal floor.
4. Volume: 40*22*39cm.
