Test Procedures

1. Pre-operation Preparation

Environmental Adjustment: Adjust the test environment to standard atmospheric conditions for textiles (in accordance with ISO 105-A01/GB/T 6529): temperature 20±2℃, relative humidity 65±3%; condition the instrument, samples, and consumables (such as backing fabric) in this environment for at least 4 hours (if conditioning is not required for the test, follow the corresponding standard).

Instrument Inspection: Connect the appropriate power supply (e.g., AC 220V/50Hz), start the instrument without load, and confirm that the heating plate temperature stability, pressure device (weight) accuracy, and timing module function are all normal, without any abnormal noise or fault indications.

Consumables Preparation: Prepare the auxiliary materials according to the corresponding standards, such as ISO 105-F02 standard cotton backing fabric, anti-staining backing fabric, sample fixing clamps, etc.

2. Sample Preparation

Cut the samples according to the test item (ensure no wrinkles, damage, or stains):

Heat Pressing/Sublimation Color Fastness Test: Cut into 100mm×40mm rectangles, taking one representative sample each from the warp and weft directions;

Bleached Fabric Yellowing Test: Cut into 150mm×150mm squares;

Reactive Dye Water Fastness Test: Cut into 100mm×40mm, and after wetting according to GB/T 5718 requirements, squeeze out excess water to the specified moisture content. 3. Test Parameter Settings

Set the parameters on the control panel according to the target standard (e.g., ISO 105 X11. GB/T 5718):

Mode Selection: Corresponding to the test type (e.g., "Dry Heat Sublimation," "Heat Press Resistance," "Yellowing Test");

Temperature: Set according to the standard (e.g., sublimation color fastness 180±2℃, heat press resistance 150±2℃, yellowing test 180±2℃);

Pressure: Set to 4 kPa for heat press resistance testing (matching the weight of the standard weight in ISO 105 X11), no additional pressure is required for sublimation/yellowing tests;

Time: Set according to the standard (e.g., sublimation 30±1s, heat press resistance 15±0.5s, yellowing test 10±0.5min).

4. Sample Loading and Test Operation

Heat Press Resistance Test: Place the sample between two layers of standard cotton lining fabric, lay it flat on the center of the heating plate, close the press head to apply pressure, and start the timing program;

Sublimation Color Fastness Test: Fix the sample and standard lining fabric separately on the sample holder and lining fabric holder (maintaining the standard distance), close the test chamber door, and start the dry heat program;

Yellowing Test: Lay the sample flat on the heating plate (without lining fabric), ensure sufficient contact, and then start the dry heat timing;

Water Staining Fastness Test: Stack the moistened sample and lining fabric, load according to the heat press resistance procedure, adjust to the corresponding water staining temperature, and then start the test.

5. Post-processing and Result Evaluation

After the test, wait for the instrument to cool to room temperature, and then remove the sample and lining fabric;

Use the corresponding gray scale (e.g., ISO 105-A02 for evaluating sample discoloration, ISO 105-A03 for evaluating lining fabric staining), and rate the results on a scale of 1-5 (5 being the best);

Record the sample information, test standard, parameters (temperature/pressure/time), and rating.

6. Instrument Cleaning and Maintenance

After turning off the power and allowing the instrument to cool, wipe the heating plate, press head, and sample holder with a dry, soft cloth to remove any residual fibers;

Calibrate the temperature and pressure modules according to the calibration schedule (e.g., every 6 months) to ensure that the testing accuracy meets the standards.
