Fabric Negative-ion Concentration Testers typically detect the amount of negative ions generated by fabrics based on principles such as triboelectricity, release from natural minerals, or photocatalysis. Test Procedures
1. Preparation Stage
Equipment Check
Connect the ground wire to ensure instrument grounding safety;
Confirm power supply stability, turn on the instrument switch, and warm up for 1 minute.
Sample Preparation
Cut the sample according to standard (e.g., A4 size), distinguishing the test surface (usually the skin-contact surface);
Ensure the sample is free of impurities and radioactive material contamination.
2. Parameter Settings
Mode Selection
Select “Negative Ion Detection Mode” on the operation panel;
Set the ion mobility (default ≥0.15 cm²/(V・s), meeting product accuracy requirements).
Range and Pressure Adjustment
Select the range according to the sample type (0-20.000/200.000/2.000.000 units/cm³);
Adjust the test pressure to 7.5±0.2 N (adaptable to different fabric types).
3. Testing Process (Simulated Friction + Ion Detection)
Sample Fixation
Lay the sample flat on the test stage, start the PLC to control the friction disc (rotation speed 93±1 r/min), simulating the friction state in actual use.
Ion Detection
Activate the capacitive attraction ion acquisition module to capture negative ions released during the friction process;
The instrument records the ion concentration in real time and generates a time-varying curve (supporting dynamic analysis).
4. Data Reading and Calibration
Record after reading stabilizes
Wait for the value to stabilize (display fluctuation ≤ ±2), then read the current negative ion concentration;
If "1" is displayed, switch to a higher range.
Calibration (if necessary)
Press and hold the "RE-ZERO" button for 3-5 seconds until the displayed value is between -0.01 and 0.01. then complete the zeroing.
5. End and Data Processing
Stop Testing
Turn off the friction system and remove the sample;
Save the real-time data curve and automatically calculate the average value.
Result Calculation
Repeat the test on 3 groups of samples and take the average value as the final result (unit: ions/cm³);
Data must comply with the requirements of GB/T 30128-2013 standard.
