Pump Impeller
Baoding Guokun Machinery Co., Ltd and Baoding Guokun Export and Import Trading Co., Ltd are located in Baoding city, Hebei province, China. Our sand-casting factory occupies atotal area of 30,000 square meters, which have casting foundry workshop, grinding, sandblasting and precision machining shop, laboratory and warehouse. Baoding Guokun has equipped with 4sets medium-frequency electric furnaces, 15 sets automatic shell core machinery, automatic sand-casting molding line, 7sets CNC machinery, 20 sets CNC Lathe, and the complete quality inspection devices for mechanical testing and chemical analysis, including tensile strength, hardness tester, metallographic inspection, spectrometer, ultrasonic testing and special testing devices. Before shipping, the quality reports for all inspection will be issued and mailed to our customers.
The pump impeller is the rotating component in the pump that directly transfers the energy from the motor into the fluid being pumped. Pump impellers are classified as one of three types: Open impeller, semi-open impeller, or closed impeller. Their classification is based on whether they have aprotective shroud or not.
Baoding GuokunInvestment castingstainless steel pump impeller's steps:
- Patterns Makings: Creating awax mold of the desired stainless steel pump impellers, and then adding sprues to the wax model to create atree-like structure.
- Shell Building: Coating the wax pattern with alayer of fire-resistant paint, and then to be sprinkled with sand, so after aperiod of hardening, the surface will form alayer of fire-resistant thin shell.
- Dewaxing: Removing the wax, the shell is placed into an oven, melting the wax so that it can run out of the shell.
- Pouring: Pouring the molten stainless steel into the shell, and waiting for solidification under room temperature.
- Post treatment: After cooling, knock the shell and cut the sprue gate by grinding machinery to achieve net shape impeller castings. Then shot blasting to move mill scales to assure the smooth casting surface.
