Calcined Petroleum Coke
Calcined Petroleum Coke The main uses of petroleum coke are pre-baked anode and anode paste used in electrolytic aluminum, carbon industry production of carbon additive, graphite electrode, smelting industry silicon and fuel. According to the different sulfur content, it can be divided into high sulfur coke (sulfur content more than 3%) and low sulfur coke (sulfur content less than 3%). Low sulfur coke can be used as anodic paste and prebaked anode for aluminum plant and graphite electrode for steel plant. The high quality low sulfur coke (sulfur content less than 0.5%) can be used to produce graphite electrode and carbonizer. Low-sulfur coke of general quality (less than 1.5% sulfur content) is often used to produce prebaked anodes. The low quality petroleum coke is mainly used in industrial silicon smelting and anode paste production. High-sulfur coke is commonly used as a fuel in cement factories and power plants.
