Si3N4 bonded SiC block Semi-graphitized Sidewall Carbon Block SiC Mortar
Its micro structures show SiC grains are surrounded by phase, the phase is composed of granular SiC and fiber-type Si3N4 made by in-situ reaction, Si3N4 fibers interlace three-dimensional network to embrace smaller SiC grains and form strong mechanical bonding with big SiC grains.This product is used in the electrolyte bath to decrease the working lining thickness and increase the bath’s volume. It has properties of high thermal conductivity, oxidization resistance and cryolite resistance, especially much better for high-power bath. The Semi-graphitized Carbon Block is produced through the process of shaping, baking, and machining. Main raw materials are high quality electric-calcined-coal, petroleum coke, pitch and man-made graphite. When this product is used together with Silicon Nitride Bonded Silicon Carbide Blocks, the properties of sidewall’s erosion resistance and penetration resistance will be improved, and the carbon based ramming mixes can be decreased to lower the pollution and lower labor cost for bath installation.SG series Dry Barrier Mass has remarkable features of easy installation, re-usage, good penetration/erosion resistance, good volume stability. It would efficiently reduce the consumption of Fluoride, and increase the service life of AL electrolysis bath.The diatomite insulation bricks are made from porous diatomite, or naturally cut directly. But generally diatomite brick is made from diatomite as main raw material with some binding clay as additive under pressing and firing. Generally its safety service temperature is 900℃.Alumina silicate fiber is a new special light refractory. It is similar to cotton, white fiber in appearance. This material has properties as lightweight, high temperature resistance, good thermal stability, low thermal transmissibility, low thermal capacity, good mechanical vibration resistance, low heated expansion, good heat insulation performance etc.SG series silicon carbide mortar and high strength silicon carbide mortar are specially developed for electrolysis bath. Three types of silicon carbide mortar are available, phosphate bonded wet mortar, basic binder bonded mortar and dry mortar.
