As hand trucks are relatively simple to use, their safety is often taken for granted.

Keep the heaviest load on the bottom to lower the center of gravity when stacking items on the truck.

Never stack loads so high that block your view see the path you are going.

Avoid walking backwards with a hand truck. It is safer to push than to pull.

Balance the load forward on the axle, so the weight will not be carried by the handle.

Inspect and clear your path before moving any loads. Be aware of any potential hazards, including unguarded edges.

How to Choose the Right Hand Truck?

There are three types of hand trucks:

Upright, convertible and stair-climer hand trucks.

Upright hand trucks are the traditional models to fulfill your general purpose, allow you to easily transport medium-weight loads, stack up boxes or crates.

Convertible hand truckcan easily convert from a 2-wheel commercial hand truckto a 4-wheel horizontal/platform position. Excellent for moving many large, heavy objects, including those with awkward shapes.

Stair climber Loop handle hand truckare designed for transporting loads between different floors.

Hand truck materials:

Steel is the most popular material to make commercial use and heavy duty hand truckfor its tough and durable features.

Aluminum is ideal of moving lighter loads as it is light weight but still very tough and durable though.

Select a proper handle:

Horizontal Loop is the most popular handle, as it can be gripped in multiple places, making it the perfect multi-use design.

Vertical Loop is another popular handle option, same as horizontal loop it can be gripped in multiple places for multi-use.

Double handles offer sturdy steering, a firm grip, and solid load control.
