Pharmacological Actions:
Spectinomycin belongs to the aminoglycoside class of antibiotics and has a moderate inhibitory effect on various Gram-negative bacteria, such as Escherichia coli, Salmonella, Shigella, and Proteus. It is sensitive to Streptococcus, Pneumococcus, Staphylococcus aureus, and certain mycoplasma (such as chicken mycoplasma, turkey mycoplasma, and avian chlamydia). It is mostly insensitive to viridans streptococci and Staphylococcus aureus. It is usually resistant to Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Spirochaetes.
Lincomycin belongs to the lincosamide class of antibiotics and has good antibacterial activity against anaerobic bacteria, such as clostridia, peptococci, peptostreptococci, tetanus bacilli, gas gangrene bacilli, and most actinomycetes. Lincomycin mainly acts on the 50S subunit of bacterial ribosomes, inhibits the elongation of peptide chains, and affects protein synthesis.
Indications: Antibiotic drug. Used for infections caused by Gram-negative bacteria, Gram-positive bacteria, and mycoplasma.
