Titanium is a transition metal that is lustrous, silver-white in color and exhibits low density and high strength. In the wire mesh industry, there are two generally specified types of titanium – grade 1 and grade 2 – and both offer extremely high levels of corrosion resistance. Grade 1 Titanium and Grade 2 Titanium are considered commercial pure as they both are comprised of 99+% titanium, with trace elements of nitrogen, carbon, hydrogen, iron and oxygen.
