Cathode blocks
Bottom, sidewall, and corner cathode blocks are designed for lining the tanks and sidewalls of aluminum smelters. The blocks are manufactured according to customer specifications from gas- or electrocalcined anthracite, adding artificial anthracite in various quantities. Coal-tar pitch is used as a binding material. Cathode blocks can be manufactured by both the vibropressing and extrusion methods.
