Microcrystalline Waxis a refined synthetic wax derived from the heavy distillates of petroleum fractionation. Compared to common paraffin wax, it has a finer and denser crystal structure (hence the name "microcrystalline"), which gives it a unique set of physical properties:

High flexibility and ductility

High melting point (with a broad range, typically between 60–95°C)

Strong adhesion

Increased hardness while preventing brittleness

Better opacity (enhances wax opacity)

Improved oil-binding capacity, reducing the seeping of essential oils/fragrances
