High Strength SMC Molded Water Tank

The High Strength SMC Molded Water Tank, also widely known as a GRP Water Tank, FRP water tank, or fiberglass sectional water tank, is an advanced modular storage solution designed for superior durability and hygiene. Manufactured using Sheet Molding Compound (SMC), this SMC Molded Water Tank features high mechanical strength and excellent resistance to corrosion, making it ideal for demanding environments.

Working Principle & Structural Design

The SMC Molded Water Tank adopts a sectional panel system assembled with bolts, nuts, and food-grade sealing materials. Each panel is compression molded under high temperature and pressure, ensuring uniform thickness and strength.

The internal structure includes reinforced tie rods and supports that balance water pressure, while the modular panels are tightly connected to prevent leakage. The unique panel geometry increases rigidity, allowing the GRP Water Tank to maintain its shape even under full load conditions. This design also simplifies transportation and on-site assembly.

Roof Panel is Flat, will not store water on the top and leak into tank.

Installation Process

Step 1. Install steel footings on leveled concrete foundations.

Step 2. Align GRP panels to be pre-assembled.

Step 3. Place rubber sealant from ready-to-use roll between panels.

Step 4. Connect panels with bolts and nuts.

Step 5. Position bottom panel sections, and finish up base of tank.

Step 6. Position three sides of the tank.

Step 7. Position and fix roof panels and if required, roof support pipes and plates.

Step 8. Install reinforcement if required.

Step 9. Close up the tank with the fourth side.

Step 10. Finish the internal or external reinforcement.

Step 11. Fill and test.

Installation Tools

Installation tools: welding machine, electric wrench, electric drill, screwdriver, wrench, steel tape, glue gun, etc.

Safety measures: safety helmet, gloves, anti smashing shoes, seat belt, etc.
