Solar Tracker Network Control Unit
The Solar Tracker Network Control Unitis the core control and communication hub of the solar tracking control system, ensuring safe, reliable, and precise operation of the entire tracking field. It plays a critical role in system coordination by integrating tracking controllers (TCUs) and the SCADA monitoring platform into a unified, intelligent control architecture.
The NCU communicates wirelessly with all TCUs in the field to collect real-time operating data, including tracker position, status, and fault information. It supports both individual and group control of TCUs, enabling flexible operation strategies for different tracker rows, zones, or plant layouts. Meteorological data acquired from environmental sensors can be distributed to each TCU in real time, ensuring fast and coordinated responses under changing weather conditions.
As the central data gateway, the NCU uploads TCU operational data, meteorological parameters, and system status information to the back-end SCADA system via wired or wireless communication. At the same time, it receives control commands from SCADA to implement remote operation, parameter configuration, and system-level safety strategies.
Equipped with support for advanced communication protocols and a wide range of environmental monitoring sensors—including wind speed and direction, rainfall, snow depth, flood level, temperature, and humidity—the GF NCU enables intelligent decision-making and proactive protection of the solar tracking system. This significantly enhances system reliability, energy yield, and service life.
