WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A HYDRAULIC CHUCK AND A COLLET?

A hydraulic chuck and a collet are both tools used as hydraulic tool holders in precision machining operations, but they operate differently. A collet uses a collet nut to apply pressure to the collet, which in turn applies pressure to the tool shank. In contrast, a hydraulic chuck uses hydraulic pressure to clamp the tool shank. Hydraulic chucks provide higher gripping force, greater accuracy, and better rigidity than collets. However, collets can hold more tool shank sizes, making them more versatile. HOW DOES A HYDRAULIC COLLET CHUCK WORK?

There is no such thing as a hydraulic collet, but there is a hydraulic chuck for CNC lathe that operates differently from a collet.
