BromobutylRubber Stopperderived synthetically from petrochemicals, is a copolymer of isobutylene, and to a smaller extent, isoprene. Subsequent halogenation results in ahalobutyl rubber– typically bromobutyl or chlorobutyl.Mainly used withglass vials and large infusion bottles, with aluminum caps oraluminum-plastic(flip-off) caps.
