Film impact Test device(Gardner)
Product Introduction:
The coating impact resistance test device is mainly used to test the damage degree of the coating after the impact, which fully meets the requirements of the national standard GB/T173293 for the instrument, and has the advantages of novel shape, simple structure and convenient operation.
Coatings and paint films are constantly subjected to mechanical stresses, including impacts, during manufacturing, transportation, installation, and service life. The ability of a coating to resist impact without cracking, chipping, or delaminating is a critical performance indicator. The Film Impact Tester (Gardner) provides a standardized and reliable method to quantify this resistance.
The instrument is used in laboratories for:
Determining the impact resistance of paint films and coatings.
Evaluating the flexibility and adhesion of coatings to their substrates after impact.
Assessing the degree of damage (e.g., cracking, peeling, indentation) caused by impact.
Quality control of coated products in various industries (e.g., automotive, electronics, construction).
Research and development of new coating formulations with improved impact strength.
Ensuring compliance with national and international standards for coating impact resistance.
Simulating real-world impact events in a controlled laboratory environment.
Standard:
GB/T 1732-2020
ASTM D2794
ISO 6272
Advantages:
Fully complies with major national and international standards (e.g., GB/T 1732. ASTM D2794. ISO 6272) for paint film impact testing.
Precisely measures the impact resistance and damage degree of coatings.
Features a novel shape, simple structure, and convenient operation for user-friendly testing.
Allows for controlled and repeatable impact tests by adjusting drop height and using standardized weights and punches.
Provides an objective method for evaluating coating durability and performance.
Essential for quality control and product development in paint and coating industries.
