Initial drying resistance tester
Introduction：
The Initial Drying Resistance Test Machine is a crucial instrument in the evaluation of architectural coatings and building putties, primarily employed to assess their resistance to cracking during the critical initial drying phase. This testing is paramount in ensuring the aesthetic appeal and long-term performance of applied materials, especially those intended for exterior use, where they are constantly subjected to varying environmental conditions.
The core function of the machine involves subjecting a prepared sample of the coating or putty to controlled wind speed conditions within a specially designed wind tunnel. This simulation mimics the natural drying process that occurs on-site, but under accelerated and standardized conditions. The setup typically includes an axial fan to generate the airflow, a test wind tunnel to channel the air, a sample rack to hold the test specimens parallel to the airflow, and an air volume control device to precisely regulate the wind speed. Instruments such as a timer and anemometer are also integrated to monitor the duration of the test and the velocity of the air, respectively.
