Wear-resistant titanium carbide rods, extending service life
The length of this round bar can be customized according to specific requirements, ranging from 100 mm to 1,000 mm. It is amenable to secondary processing techniques such as precision grinding and wire cutting, enabling the production of components with complex geometries. When machining sticky materials such as aluminum and copper alloys, the likelihood of built-up edge formation is significantly reduced, ensuring a smooth and consistent surface finish. Surface performance can be further enhanced through coating technologies—such as TiAlN coating—which improve wear resistance and oxidation resistance, extending tool life by over 50%. In the medical device sector, this material is frequently employed in the manufacture of orthopedic surgical instruments, where it provides both superior sharpness and the ability to withstand repeated high-temperature sterilization without deformation.
