There are different kinds of steel tubing and fittingsused in piping systems. The main and most common types are elbows, tees, reducers, unions, couplings, crosses, caps, swage nipples, plugs, bushings, adapters, outlets, valves & flanges. We can do different types of steel tube fittings: Butt Weld, Threaded(NPT NPS&NPTF), Socket Weld, etc. These pipe fittings in steel can be found in various pressure classes ranging from 150 PSI to 3000 LB.

How Does Steel Pipe FittingWork?

Changing flow direction: elbows, tees, or crosses.

Change the size of the pipe: use of reducers required (reducing tees, reducers).

To connect different components: couplings; to stop flow: caps

Stainless steel and duplex steel are generally ASTM A403 and A815 standard, and nickel-based alloy fitting is generally B366 standard.

ASTM A403/ASME SA403 is a Specification for Wrought Austenitic Stainless Steel Piping Fittings.

ASTM B366/ASME SB366 is a Specification for Factory -made Wrought Nickel and Nickel Alloy Fittings.
