Nandrolone phenylpropionate also called Durabolin,Norandrol,it is a kind of anabolic steroids, which can increase the synthesis of proteins from amino acids, and amino acid can inhibit the decomposition of urea, with the function of promoting calcium deposition. The anabolic effect of this drug is 12 times more effective than testosterone propionate and the testosterone propionate masculinizing effects of 1/2, and differentiation index is 8. Both the anabolic effects and masculinizing effects are confirmed by the role of androgen receptor.
Nandrolone phenylpropionate can promote synthesis of protein, deposition of calcium and phosphorus, synthesis of bone tissue, and also can inhibit gluconeogenesis of protein and so on. It is widely used for hypoproteinemia, malnutrition, children dysplasia, operation, chronic peptic under healing disease, severe osteoporosis, pituitary dwarfism, functional uterine bleeding, myoma of uterus and breast cancer, also be used to correct negative nitrogen balance caused by glucocorticoids. In addition, it can be used as adjuvant therapy for chronic coronary insufficiency myocardial infarction, ulcer and retinitis.
