TPE is a kind of thermoplastic insulation, which will melt when exposed to high temperature. And when this occurs, the possibility of a fire is very likely, which is very dangerous. Another disadvantage is general TPE wire is not fire resistant. VW-1 Standard TPE wire can be customized. But the price is double compared to general TPE wire.
TPE Wire more easily accumulates dirt which can make cleaning difficult compared to other electrical cables.
