Inorganic Zinc-Rich Shop Primer
Inorganic zinc rich primeris alcohol-soluble inorganic zinc-rich paint. The paint consists of alkali metal silicate as component one, zinc dust and pigment as component two. The inorganic zinc painthas an excellent anti-corrosion effect, can withstand temperatures as high as 400°C, and has excellent resistance to crude oil and solvents. The paint can be used in oil tanks, solvent tanks, ballast water tanks and marine steel structures, bridges, chimneys which are in harsh environments and conditions and can also be used as anti-rust and heat-resistant coating.

Why should a layer of sealer be applied to the surface of the inorganic zinc-rich primer?
The surface of the inorganic zinc-rich primer has a porous structure, and there will be residual air inside. It is easy to produce bubbles when overcoating other coatings. To solve the problem of bubbling, a sealer paint needs to be applied.
What is the difference between epoxy zinc-rich primer and inorganic zinc-rich primer?
Epoxy inorganic zinc primer coatinghas fewer requirements for substrate treatment than an inorganic zinc-rich primer. The film toughness of epoxy zinc-rich primer is better than that of inorganic zinc-rich primer. The anti-corrosion, salt spray resistance and self-repairing of inorganic zinc-rich primer are higher than an epoxy zinc-rich primer. Epoxy zinc-rich primer must be used with a weather-resistant topcoat. Generally, epoxy intermediate paint is also used. The inorganic zinc-rich primer can be used directly without the topcoat. In general, the corrosion resistance of the inorganic zinc-rich primer is better than the epoxy zinc-rich primer, but it is not as good as an epoxy zinc-rich primer in terms of workability and repairability.
