Micronized wax used for wood coating
The application of micronized waxes in wood coatings is mainly used to enhance the smoothness, scratch resistance and feel of the coatings, as well as to provide a matting effect. The following are specific application scenarios:
Application Scenarios
Enhancement of smoothness and scratch resistance: Micronized wax can improve the leveling of wood coatings, reduce surface imperfections, and enhance abrasion resistance and scratch resistance.
Optimization of feel: Some micronized waxes (e.g. polypropylene waxes) provide a soft touch and, in combination with silica matting powders, a matte effect can be achieved.
Matting effect: The particle size and distribution of the micronized waxes influence the matting effect of the coating film and are suitable for wood finishes that require a matt appearance.
