Coatings and Inks Industry: Adding micronized wax(such as polyethylene or polytetrafluoroethylene waxes) to coatings and inks significantly improves coating abrasion resistance, scratch resistance, and slip properties, while mitigating paper friction damage during printing. For instance, in industrial coatings, wood finishes, and powder coatings, they also serve as matting agents, enhancing surface tactility. Specialised types (such as acrylic ester micro-powder waxes) can specifically enhance anti-fingerprint, anti-graffiti, or skin-feel properties.
Plastics and Rubber Processing: As internal or external release agents, micronized waxprevent plastic products from adhering to moulds during forming while improving the gloss of finished surfaces. In polyolefin processing (e.g., polyethylene, polypropylene), it functions as a lubricant, flow modifier, or anti-blocking agent, enhancing processing efficiency and product appearance. For engineering plastics, micronized waximproves wear resistance, making it suitable for modified resins, cables, and similar products.
