Personal Care and Cosmetics: It serves as an oil-phase ingredient in lipstick, hair wax, cold cream, and sunscreen, providing structural integrity and a smooth, supple feel; it is also used in polishing products such as shoe polish, car wax, and floor wax.
Industrial Manufacturing: It serves as a paraffin modifier; even a small amount can alter the crystal structure of paraffin, improving plasticity and flexural strength. In the rubber industry, it acts as an anti-cracking agent and a mold release aid; in greases, it functions as a thickener.
