What Is an Induction Billet Heater?
An induction billet heater uses high-frequency electromagnetic fields to generate heat directly inside a metal billet. When the billet is positioned inside the heater’s coil, alternating current induces eddy currents in the material. These currents generate heat internally, raising the billet’s temperature quickly and evenly without relying on external flames, combustion gases, or furnace walls to transfer heat.
