Modified guar gum powder has severl superior characteristics for the incense making. It has excellent water solubility, high viscosity, enhanced toughness, good combustibility, no smoke, and no odor. It also has much more stable performance comparing with other plant-ased or starch-based adhesives. Modified guar gum powder has very consistent viscosity profile and adhesive properties. It does not require constant formulation adjustments due to the variations in product quality from different production locations and times. They have good leveling formations, which are not easy to break. In production, guar-based powder can be hydrated in cold water directly, with no heating needed. The mixture can be processed over a long period of time without drying or caking up. The production process is energy efficient with extended working life and consistent product quality.
