ELEVATOR COMPENSATION CHAIN
During the operation of the elevator, the wire rope lengths on the car side and the counterweight side are constantly changing, which causes the weight imbalance on both sides. Elevator compensation chains, as the name suggests, are used to balance weight imbalances caused by this change. In general, projects with a traveling height of more than 30 meters require the application of a lift compensation chain.

Elevator Compensation Chain Functions
As the elevator that are equipped with advanced elevator shaft parts is running, the lengths of the wire ropes on the car side and the counterweight side are constantly changing, resulting in changes in the weight of the wire ropes on both sides of the traction sheave. When the car is at the lowest floor, most of the weight of the wire rope is on the car side; when the car is at the highest floor, most of the weight of the wire rope is on the counterweight side. This change has little effect on the running performance of the elevator when the lift height is not large, but when the lift exceeds a certain height, it will seriously affect the stability of the elevator operation and endanger the safety of passengers. For this reason, when the lift height of the elevator exceeds a certain height (usually 30 meters), a component with a certain weight must be set to balance the weight change caused by the height change, which is the function of the compensation chain for elevator.
Rope-piercing Compensating Chain Used In Elevator
This compensating chain used in elevator is the most primitive compensation chain and can only be used for elevators with a speed below 1.75m/s. During the use of this elevator compensating cable, due to friction and collision between the compensation chains, the noise is relatively large, and people in the car have a clear sense of shaking, so most elevator companies have now abandoned this elevator compensating cable.
Plastic-wrapped Compensation Chain In Elevator
In order to reduce the noise during operation and slow down the corrosion of the iron lift compensation chain by the environment, a layer of PVC hose is wrapped on the basis of the rope-piercing lift compensation chain to form a plastic-coated compensation chain in elevator. Compared with the above one, the noise of the plastic-wrapped elevator compensation chain is greatly reduced during operation, and this kind of compensation chain for elevator is more beautiful, but it still needs to be improved in terms of flexibility and durability.
The Full Plastic Lift Compensation Chain
